Grasslands Tower was built in 1929 on the Avondale farm overlooking a complex of barns, stables, and kennels. The E. S. Gardner home at Avondale was converted into Race Horse Tavern for the Grasslands Hunt and Racing Foundation. Grasslands put up miles of rail and stone fences on the Avondale Farm to make visible barriers for the fox hunters. |
